Optical, Sensitive Blend Mixing Studies

Russell has now shelved his paint brushes for a while to concentrate on form, shapes, line colour, contrast and optical image mixing. Special tools have been designed for these studies. He continually emphasizes the difficult search for compositional balance while working on his art.

Russell is also now working on some larger studies for his exhibitions later in the year, this work has to be different and must be influenced by the same methods used above.
